The Pokémon Company announced Pokémon Trading Card Game Pocket, a new digital version of the classic trading card game, set to launch on iOS and Android in 2024. This initiative marks a significant step in transitioning the traditional Pokémon card collecting experience into the digital realm, aiming to maintain the longstanding appeal of Pokémon cards since their debut in 1996.

Developed in collaboration with Creatures Inc. and DeNA, Pokémon Trading Card Game Pocket seeks to uphold the legacy of the Pokémon Trading Card Game by adapting it for modern audiences with a digital twist. President and CEO of Creatures Inc., Yuji Kitano, introduced features like Immersive Cards, designed to enhance the digital card experience by allowing players to feel as if they're stepping into the card illustrations themselves. The game also introduces a streamlined battle system, making it easier for players to engage in quick battles that fit into their daily routines. To further entice players, Pokémon Trading Card Game Pocket will offer two free packs of digital cards daily, ensuring that players can continuously expand their collections without cost.
