On February 27th, 2024, Pokémon Day will be celebrated with a host of activities, including an eagerly anticipated Pokémon Presents video feature full of surprises. In an exciting reveal, the Pokémon Company has announced that New York City's iconic Empire State Building will participate in the festivities by shining in yellow and blue lights, emblematic of the Pokémon franchise.

A Night of Pokémon-Inspired Illumination
This lighting event at the Empire State Building is a special tribute to Pokémon Day, transforming the skyline of New York City with the franchise's signature colors for one night only.
When will the Empire State Building light up?
Fans and visitors in the vicinity are encouraged to experience this unique spectacle. The lights will begin to glow shortly after sunset, around 6 PM ET, and will continue to dazzle until 2 AM ET, offering ample opportunity for Pokémon fans to witness the celebratory display.

On top of the Empire State Building being themed-out for the event, Nintendo's NY flagship store will also be giving away free Pokémon posters (while supplies last). Be sure to swing by the store if you're in town - or live there already!
