The upcoming Epic Universe theme park at Universal Orlando Resort is creating waves with its diverse themed lands, including an exciting Super Nintendo World. This new addition, set to open in 2025, promises to be a major attraction for Nintendo fans and theme park lovers alike. The Orlando Super Nintendo installment will be the third installation of its kind, following Universal Studios Japan and Hollywood, Epic Universe's Super Nintendo World.
Now, thanks to aerial photographer, bioreconstruct, we have some images that expand upon Peaceful Thrill Seeker's early insights into the Orlando Super Nintendo World construction progress that we saw earlier this month.

Super Nintendo World, Orlando Expands its Horizons
Distinct from its predecessors, the Super Nintendo World at Epic Universe will boast additional space, allowing for the inclusion of Yoshi’s Adventure, a feature missed in Universal Studios Hollywood. Moreover, visitors can anticipate the ongoing construction of the Donkey Kong expansion, already underway in Japan, adding more thrills to the experience.
This is great news for fans that aren't able to make it to the Hollywood or Japan locations anytime soon, as both the Yoshi's Adventure and Donkey Kong Country expansion areas will be available immediately upon opening.
Innovative Entryway into the World of Mario
The entrance to Super Nintendo World at Epic Universe is set to stand out. While still drawing inspiration from the iconic green pipes of Mario games, this portal integrates themed archways similar to those seen in other park areas, offering a unique twist.
Guests will ascend an escalator within the pipe, contrasting the same-level entries of its counterparts.
Immersive Experiences and Attractions
Upon entering, guests will find themselves in the heart of the Mushroom Kingdom, with the Mario Kart: Bowser’s Challenge ride and the scenic Mount Beanpole, encircled by the Yoshi’s Adventure track.
Notably, the Yoshi-shaped ride vehicles, currently featuring blue test dummies, will eventually showcase a spectrum of colors, mirroring the diverse Yoshi species.
While Yoshi’s Adventure has received mixed reviews from fans at Universal Studios Japan, its inclusion in Epic Universe is a nod to its family-friendly and visually appealing nature.
Thematic Enhancements and Dining Ventures
The attention to detail in theming extends to the land's construction, where themed paneling and cartoon-like elements bring the Mushroom Kingdom to life. Peach's Castle (circled in red below), serving as another entry point, will allow guests to descend a grand staircase into the vibrant land.
For dining, the Toadstool Cafe is set to be the main culinary highlight, with a tube-shaped facade leading into a mushroom-themed eating experience.
Action-Packed Donkey Kong Adventure
The newest addition to the Super Nintendo World experience is the Donkey Kong-inspired family coaster, 'Mine-Cart Madness', named after a level in Donkey Kong Country. This ride will feature a unique system to simulate the sensation of jumping broken tracks, a staple in Donkey Kong games.
From the progress photos, we can see more scaffolding has gone up around the center feature of the ride.
We're excited to see how the Donkey Kong area shapes up once the park update is made available in Japan. Later this year, Super Nintendo World, Japan, will be promoting the new park addition with a 'Play Wild' event, promising an interactive experience that is sure to make its way stateside (in some form or another) once the Orlando construction concludes.
