McDonald's Japan Launches Kirby Happy Meal Collection

McDonald's Japan is set to introduce a unique Kirby-themed Happy Meal lineup later this month. The partnership continues the tradition of featuring Nintendo characters in McDonald's promotions, following numerous Pokémon and Mario character Happy Meals in the past, and a recent Sonic the Hedgehog collab earlier this year. The upcoming Kirby Happy Meals will include a collection of eight mini-plush toys, showcasing seven distinct Kirby characters alongside a solitary Waddle-Dee.

Kirby x McDonald's Collab: Two-Phase Release Schedule

The Kirby Happy Meals will be released in two phases to ensure fans have ample opportunity to collect their favorite characters.

Phase 1 Timing

The first phase, running from February 23rd to February 29th, 2024, will feature plushies of regular Kirby, floating Kirby, Winking Kirby, and Waddle Dee.

Phase 2 Timing

The second phase, from March 1st to March 7th, 2024, will introduce Sleepy Kirby, Yellow Kirby, Jumping Kirby, and Cone Mouth Kirby to the collection.

McDonald's Kirby Collection Availability Beyond Japan

While this Kirby collaboration has been confirmed only for Japan, there is anticipation and hope among fans that the Kirby Happy Meals will eventually be offered in other markets. However, there is no official word the collab will be available to other regions at this time.
