Karen Fukuhara and Erin Moriarty Elaborate on Poké-Fandom
During The Boys Q&A Main Stage panel session, It's Recording Time Media asked Karen to shed some more light into the upcoming Netflix series. Pokémon Concierge debuts on Netflix on December 28th, where Karen plays the main character named Haru. From the promotional trailer, we can expect to see at least 24 different types of Pokémon.
Fukuhara went on to say, "I have to watch out because during my recording, it's 'Pokémon' - not 'Pokemon' - and I've been saying my entire life... 'Pokemon', 'Pokemon', 'Pokemon', and now it's 'Pokémon'." As a lifetime fan of the series, Fukuhara jumped on the opportunity, stating:
"I used to play Gameboy, I was such a fan growing up. And, when I got the offer earlier this year, I was just blown away." - Karen Fukuhara, Los Angeles Comic Con 2023
Later, Erin Moriarty shared that she, too, was a huge (obsessive at times) fan of the Pokémon franchise since her childhood.
"I have to say I remember when the Pokémon store opened in New York City. My dad took me, and it just was like Nirvana for me. I love Pokémon." - Erin Moriarty, Los Angeles Comic Con 2023
Could Erin Moriarty voice a character in Pokémon Concierge in a future part of the series? Time will tell, but she certainly could be a super fan interested in the gig!
