Star Wars Dark Forces: A Journey to a Galaxy... Well, You Know the Rest

This might be before some of our readers' time (don't worry, I'm only slightly having an existential crisis) but, let's take it back to 1995. You might remember the big, bulky Apple Macintosh and MS-DOS computers; well, that's what the original Star Wars Dark Forces released on. Times have changed a bit since then.

This shiny new remaster is going to drop you right back into those boots of Kyle Katarn, our brave Rebel Alliance hero. This guy's mission? Infiltrate the ever-scheming Galactic Empire and expose a dark secret that could spell bad news for our Rebel pals. Think classic, light vs. dark Star Wars showdown meets retro shooter.

What to Expect from the Star Wars Dark Forces Remaster: A Peek into the Features

Now, let's chat about what's cooking under the hood of this remaster. Nightdive Studios, the genius gang behind this reimagined classic, promise that this game will grace "modern consoles" with "up to 4K resolution at 120FPS".

But, ahem, our beloved Switch didn't make the cut for those specs. No worries, though! We've got our fingers crossed and are eagerly waiting to see just how swanky the space shootouts will look on the go.
