Event Bonuses

Trainers will enjoy various bonuses during the event, including surprise encounters with Pikachu wearing a detective hat through snapshots, and a 2x experience boost for spinning PokéStops.

Detective Pikachu Returns Event Timed Research

Engage in a Timed Research story, aiding Professor Willow in tracking down a "Pokémon of interest." Completing field research tasks grants Trainers an encounter with the elusive Pikachu sporting a detective hat. It's important to complete the Timed Research and claim the associated rewards before Monday, October 9, 2023, at 8:00 p.m. local time.
