Van Gogh Pikachu Card Re-release
The Pikachu with Grey Felt Hat card was initially unveiled as part of a collaborative venture with the Van Gogh Museum, which also featured an exclusive line of merchandise. However, the initial release faced challenges, primarily due to scalpers exploiting the promotion both online and in-person. This led to widespread frustration among genuine buyers, further exacerbated by technical glitches on the Pokémon Center website.
Responding to the issues and acknowledging the demand, The Pokémon Company has taken steps to remedy the situation. The coming re-release will allow Pokémon Center customers to obtain the coveted Pikachu with Grey Felt Hat promo card by making a minimum purchase of $30 in qualifying Pokémon TCG cards. Each order will be accompanied by one promo card. While the start date for this promotional event has yet to be announced, details will be conveyed through official emails and social media channels.
Presently, the Pikachu with Grey Felt Hat card commands a substantial value, selling for approximately $100 on eBay and TCGPlayer, demonstrating its desirability among collectors and fans alike.
Pokémon TCG Collaborations
Looking ahead, the Pokémon TCG continues to evolve and excite its dedicated player base. Recent releases, such as the anticipated Scarlet & Violet – 151 set, featuring all 151 original Pokémon, including the first Kadabra card in nearly two decades, have invigorated the TCG community.
The upcoming release of Paradox Rift introduces a new set with Pokémon categorized under Ancient and Future labels, hinting at an exciting shift in gameplay dynamics.
